It offers asphalt projections that reflect the coker values of asphalt, having undergone back-testing against 13 years of historical coker data, resulting in a substantial correlation coefficient (r-value) of 0.989069—indicative of an almost perfect positive correlation. This strong correlation ensures that the projections are grounded in the current cash prices.
The app generates retail (rack) projections tailored to specific regions within the contiguous United States, presenting prices in ranges that suggest reasonable values for inclusion in bids. This methodology was developed by Brian Lawrence, who has accumulated extensive experience in the field, having purchased over 2 million tons of asphalt over a 13-year tenure with a major highway contractor in Georgia. Furthermore, all annual subscribers benefit from unlimited access to consulting services with Brian, providing expert guidance in buying, selling, bidding, and pricing liquid asphalt.
